In my journey as a mommy so far, I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said guilt has been my middle name. This has been so for the longest time, and I haven’t been able to drop this mom-guilt completely yet. But what I have learnt is to trust my own unique parenting style, even if it does not fit the parenting rule book.
I have often been called a lazy woman, for doing the following things to my baby. However, I have learnt to ignore all this judgment and continued to follow my mom instincts nonetheless.
1) I don’t run after my baby to feed him
Babies love routine and they almost guide you through forming one for them. So I make sure I prepare a meal for my baby when he is hungry. But my child is a powerhouse of energy and wants to return to running and playing after he has had only a few bites. A ‘caring mom’ would be expected to run after him in every corner of the house to feed him. But I beg to differ. Read more here
